Green procurement involves prioritizing the purchase of products that are recyclable, low-pollution, and energy- and resource-efficient. This approach reduces the environmental impact of procurement activities and promotes green consumption and sustainable production. To implement the concept of sustainable procurement, the university follows the Executive Yuan’s "Regulations on Priority Procurement of Environmentally Friendly Products by Government Agencies" and related guidelines. Priority is given to purchasing products bearing environmental protection labels and green products listed on the Ministry of Environment’s Green Living Information Network. The university continuously promotes green procurement measures to achieve an environmentally friendly and sustainable campus. In 2025, the overall green procurement rate reached 99.53%, with the total amount reaching NT$78,540,298 and 100% of procurement from domestic suppliers. Among electronic products—including desktop computers, monitors, printers, laptops, imaging output devices, scanners, portable projectors, refrigerators, and air conditioners—the green procurement rate has steadily increased year by year, reaching 99.69% in 2025. Sustainable cleaning supplies and office paper items maintained a 100.0% procurement rate. Over the past three years, the environmental benefits generated through green procurement have resulted in cost savings of NT$227,654.55 in 2023, NT$301,124.82 in 2024, and NT$324,454.80 in 2025, demonstrating a consistent year-over-year increase in performance. The University continues to prioritize the purchase of products with lower environmental impact in order to achieve stronger environmental protection outcomes.
