International Awards
1. In the “Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings” 2025, NKUST was ranked 401–600 globally and tied for 14th in Taiwan. NKUST demonstrated strong performance in individual indicators, including SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
2. In the “Top 2% Scientists List” 2025, a total of 67 faculty members from NKUST were selected, ranking 8th nationwide and 2nd among universities of science and technology in Taiwan.
Domestic Awards
1. Awarded the Model Award in Sustainable Curriculum at the “6th University Social Responsibility (USR) Awards” 2025.
2. Ranked 15th nationwide and 3rd among technical and vocational institutions in the 2025 “Most Favored College Graduates by Enterprises” survey by Cheers Magazine.
3. Ranked 5th among public technical and vocational universities in the 2025 “CommonWealth Magazine University Social Responsibility (USR) University Citizen Survey”.
4. Ranked 14th nationwide and 5th among universities of science and technology in the 2025 “Best Universities in Taiwan” rankings by Global Views Monthly.
5. Ranked 18th nationwide and 3rd among technical and vocational institutions in the 2025 “University Brand Power Survey” by 104 Corporation.
6. Received the Gold Award at the Asia-Pacific Sustainability Exhibition at the 2025 “5th SDG ASIA” organized by TAISE.
7. Received the Green Impact Exhibition Award and the Smart Technology Practice Award at the “5th TAIWAN COP5” 2025.
8. In the 2026 “Global Views Monthly - Most Favored University Students and Interns by Employers” survey, NKUST ranked 1st among technical and vocational institutions in southern Taiwan, 3rd among national public technical and vocational institutions, and 4th in intern evaluation performance.
Other Honors and Achievements
1. In the Ministry of Education “Teaching Practice Research Program,” NKUST received a cumulative total of 24 awards from 2022 to 2024, ranking 1st nationwide.
2.Under the Ministry of Education “Higher Education SPROUT Project,” NKUST was awarded a total of NTD 1,481,660,000 in funding from 2022 to 2025. The University ranked 9th nationwide for two consecutive years (2023–2024) and 2nd among universities of science and technology.
3. Under the “Promoting the Practice of University Social Responsibility (USR) Program” by the Ministry of Education, NKUST has completed 18 approved projects from Phase I to Phase III (2018–2023), receiving a total of NTD 150 million in funding, ranking first among all public and private universities in Taiwan in both indicators.
4. Under the Ministry of Education “Teaching Practice Research Program,” NKUST was approved for a total of 231 projects from 2022 to 2025, ranking 1st among universities of science and technology for four consecutive years.
5. Under the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) “College Student Research Program,” NKUST was approved for 127 projects in 2025. From 2022 to 2025, the University ranked 1st among universities of science and technology for four consecutive years and 6th among all universities nationwide.
6. In the Ocean Affairs Council “College and University Student Project Research Program,” NKUST ranked 2nd nationwide in both approved cases and total funding in 2023–2024, and achieved 1st place nationwide in 2022 and 2025.
7. In 2025, NKUST secured funding for four teams under the Ministry of Education Youth Development Administration’s “U-start Plan for Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” receiving a total of NT$2 million in startup grants, ranking first among national universities of science and technology in southern Taiwan.
